A local tool or a server workspace?
Decide where records live before choosing features.
Understand local storage
A tool using localStorage stores data in the browser for a specific origin. Data can persist between sessions; private browsing has more limited retention. This does not create synchronization between devices.
Understand server storage
A hosted workspace can retrieve the same records after a new login from another device. It needs accounts, access controls, backups and a recovery procedure. A working website alone does not prove the data is protected.
Run a simple test
Create a fictional record, leave the tool and log in again. Export the data and inspect the contents. Ask where backups are stored and how to recover an earlier version. Avoid sensitive customer information during technical trials.
MERDOUD tools today
DA3 Starter runs in the browser with JSON export and restore. WASABIA stores records on the VPS in an invitation-only workspace. The two modes serve different needs. Trials do not trigger automatic payments.
